Greater Gallatin United Way Announces a New CEO

Southwest Montana may be as beautiful as ever, but beneath the panorama, is an area facing crisis. Many people can no longer afford to live in the area, pay for childcare, purchase healthy food, access mental health resources or are struggling to recover from a natural disaster. Greater Gallatin United Way (GGUW) has been working to combat these issues in the community and is excited to continue this mission with renewed leadership.

Kimberly Hall, the new President and CEO of Greater Gallatin United Way, joined the organization early September and is already paving new paths.

“Greater Gallatin United Way is here to build a stronger community where everyone can thrive. Our talented team and board is passionate and committed to leading the charge to improve the health, education, and economic mobility of every person in every community we serve,” Hall said.

After growing up in Florida, then moving to South Carolina, she is excited to be joining the Gallatin Valley community with her family in tow. Her priority goal this winter beyond leading the critical work being done at GGUW, is to learn how to ski.

Hall came to GGUW prepared to jump in in with both feet— equipped with a strong passion for human services and a deep sense of compassion for community, she is not afraid to face challenges and find solutions. Hall held senior leadership roles at Bluffton Self Help, Easterseals Florida and United Way Suncoast. Her extensive background in nonprofit and community-focused organizations meets a critical need for the GGUW service area. Her 20 plus years of experience in nonprofit leadership brings a strong foundation to the GGUW organization and will allow the work being done to maximize its impact in the community.

Doug Babcock, Board Chair of GGUW said, “I, as well as the GGUW Board, feel fortunate to have a person of Kim's caliber to lead this organization. Her background and experience (and energy!) are a perfect fit for GGUW as we look to build on and enhance the mission of GGUW in Southwest Mont.”

Hall plans to join the community with open arms and open ears.

"We have incredibly strong agencies here delivering exceptional services. I look forward to meeting them and listening to their needs. Our goal is to work alongside them through partnership, advocacy, research and funding," she said.

By partnering, collaborating, and responding, GGUW will continue to reinforce the strength of our community under the strong and passionate lead of Kim.
