At Greater Gallatin United Way, we believe that meaningful change happens through collaboration across all sectors—schools, businesses, supporters, volunteers, and working families. Together, we are developing sustainable solutions that provide children with safe, engaging, and educational environments, while enabling parents to remain in the workforce. Our kidsLINK out-of-school initiative plays a crucial role in supporting working families, and its success is driven by the dedication and support of our community.
The need for reliable child care in Gallatin County is undeniable. 44% of parents report missing work due to child care challenges, which impacts local businesses and our economy. We’re incredibly grateful to our supporters, including Yellowstone Club Community Foundation, Gilhousen Family Foundation, Moonlight Community Foundation, First Security Bank, Enterprise Mobility Foundation, Bozeman Health, Stockman Bank, Gianforte Family Foundation, and Gallatin Association of Realtors Foundation. These organizations understand the critical importance of child care for our community, and their generosity helps ensure that working families have access to the resources they need. Thanks to the generosity of our partners, we’ve been able to lower the cost of out-of-school care and provide over $200,000 in tuition assistance this year, making it more affordable for families. kidsLINK continues to make a meaningful impact, and this success is a direct result of the collective support from our community.
Our community is answering the call. Last month, we expanded kidsLINK to Monforton Elementary, ensuring that even more children have access to safe and supportive afterschool opportunities. In addition to our Afterchool programs, PIR Day Camps and Spring Break Camps, kidsLINK Summer Camps will serve over 500 kids this year in Bozeman, Belgrade, and Big Sky. These all-day camps offer specialized programs like pre-K camps focused on kindergarten readiness, engaging all-day camps with hands-on learning and outdoor adventures, and Counselor-in-Training programs to provide leadership experience for older kids.
One parent shared, “Without kidsLINK, my husband and I would not be able to work in healthcare, providing essential services for our community. The programs and summer care have been a lifeline, and we are incredibly grateful for the support.”
Your partnership is crucial in ensuring that kidsLINK and other community programs continue to serve families, strengthen our workforce, and provide children with opportunities to grow and succeed. Together, we are creating a thriving community for all.
