Greater Gallatin United Way Invests $245,000 To Strengthen Local Community

Bozeman, MT – August 19, 2024 – Greater Gallatin United Way (GGUW) proudly announces the recipients of its 2024-25 Community Impact Grants, with a total investment of $245,000 benefiting 28 local nonprofits across Gallatin, Park, Meagher, and Madison counties. This year’s grants focus on four critical areas: Basic Needs, Mental Health & Well-being, Early Learning, and Youth Success. Through strategic allocation of resources and collaborative efforts, GGUW aims to drive meaningful improvements in the quality of life for all residents and support the creation of a thriving, resilient community.

Ben Frentsos, Director of Community Impact at Greater Gallatin United Way, stated, “These grants are more than financial support; they signify our commitment to addressing immediate needs while fostering long-term positive change. By investing in these essential areas, we are building a foundation for sustained community impact.”

Since 2009, GGUW has invested more than $5,000,000 in local nonprofits and schools using the Collective Impact Model. This model facilitates collaboration among diverse stakeholders to tackle complex social issues effectively. GGUW’s role in leading, convening, and educating ensures that these grants not only provide financial assistance but also serve as a catalyst for community-wide collaboration and progress.

Frentsos added, “The strength of our approach lies in our ability to unite nonprofits, businesses, and community members. By working together, we are enhancing our community’s resilience and ensuring it thrives despite the challenges we face.”
