The Week of the Young Child (WOTYC) is a time dedicated to celebrating early childhood education and the critical role it plays in shaping the future of our community. Throughout this week, Greater Gallatin United Way, in partnership with the Gallatin Early Childhood Community Council (ECCC), is hosting a variety of exciting events to highlight the importance of early learning and to recognize the contributions of teachers, caregivers, and families who support young children.
The ECCC brings together leadership and front-line staff from different sectors to improve collaboration and create a community that ensures every child enters kindergarten ready to succeed. By fostering this environment of support, we help set children up for a lifetime of learning and growth. If you are interested in joining the ECCC or learning more about its work, please fill out the online form here: ECCC Interest Form.
In celebration of WOTYC, we invite the community to join us for a week of fun and learning. The WOTYC Carnival on April 5th from 10 AM to 1 PM at Emily Dickinson Elementary kicks off the week, with a variety of games, activities, and community resources for families. There are also multiple other events happening across Bozeman and Belgrade, including free storytimes at the Bozeman Public Library, special discounts, and hands-on activities for children to enjoy.
Check out the full list of events here.
By coming together as a community, we can ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive, starting from their very first years. Thank you to our partners and supporters who continue to make early childhood education a priority in our region. Together, we are building a strong foundation for our children’s future.
