United for Mental Health

Mental health impacts every family, workplace, school, and community — even when we cannot see it.

A struggling teen. A parent overwhelmed by stress. A neighbor quietly carrying anxiety, grief, or trauma.
In Montana, the need is urgent. Our state continues to face one of the highest suicide rates in the nation, and too many people struggle in silence or do not know where to turn for support.

At Greater Gallatin United Way, we believe no one should face those challenges alone.

That is why Mental Health & Well-being is one of our key community impact focus areas. Through the generosity of our community, we invest in organizations working every day to increase access to support, reduce stigma, build resilience, and create connection.

Our community impact partners are making a difference in unique and meaningful ways:
The Montana Mindfulness Project equips students and communities with mindfulness tools that build emotional regulation and resilience.
Bridgercare provides affordable, supportive reproductive and sexual healthcare because overall wellness includes mental health.
Big Sky Youth Empowerment helps vulnerable teens build belonging, confidence, and connection through mentorship and outdoor experiences.
Wellness In Action connects people to resources that help individuals and families thrive.
The LiveWell49 Coalition promotes healthier communities through outreach and creative solutions in Park County.
Suffer Out Loud works to save lives by reducing stigma and connecting Montanans to support.
Greater Impact empowers neighbors to reach their full potential through community support and resources.
Help Center, Inc. offers crisis counseling, advocacy, and support for those navigating trauma and difficult moments.
Cancer Support Community Montana ensures no one impacted by cancer has to face the emotional journey alone.
Roots Family Collaborative connects families to resources and support from preconception through parenthood.

Mental Health Awareness Month is a reminder to check in on one another, learn what resources are available, and ask for help when needed. Whether you are supporting a loved one or struggling yourself, you are not alone.

If you or someone you know needs support, help is here. Together, we can build a community where every person feels seen, supported, and connected.

Because when it comes to mental health, United is the Way.
