First Security Bank and GGUW

First Security Bank and Greater Gallatin United Way: A Powerful Partnership for Community Impact

In our collaboration with First Security Bank at Greater Gallatin United Way (GGUW), we are privileged to share an extraordinary partnership beyond conventional corporate social responsibility. This dynamic alliance is shaping a brighter future for the Greater Gallatin area through innovative initiatives that actively engage employees in enhancing community well-being.

First Security Bank fearlessly steps in when our community needs support. They were among the trailblazers in initiating employee-giving campaigns in our region. Former CEO Jim Ness was an early advocate for kidsLINK out-of-school initiatives, recognizing the economic impact of our kidsLINK programs. He boldly challenged other businesses to join in supporting these crucial initiatives.

Their commitment is apparent through a range of initiatives that empower their employees to play an active role in enhancing the community's well-being. Employees generously contribute prized pies, mountain cabins, and other items for auctions, offering an additional avenue to contribute while boosting employee morale and connectedness. First Security Bank not only hosts lively auctions but also orchestrates delightful bake sales, embracing imaginative and enjoyable avenues for philanthropy.

Going beyond individual efforts, the bank spearheads a workplace campaign that offers employees an accessible and organized platform to contribute not only to GGUW's vital programs supporting basic needs, early learning, youth success, and mental health & well-being but also to other Community Impact Partners. This collaborative approach magnifies the impact, making a profound difference in the lives of working families and neighbors alike.

"When you work at First Security Bank you feel a part of a team that cares for its community both inside of the bank and outside our walls. Having a chance to give back to the community we serve feels so good and having leadership at the bank that supports and encourages makes it feel doubly worthwhile!" - Jenifer West | Business & Community Development Coordinator

First Security Bank goes beyond merely sponsoring GGUW events; they actively engage by participating in them. Additionally, the bank extends its support through grants from the First Security Foundation. However, their commitment surpasses financial contributions, as they encourage their employees to participate in volunteer opportunities organized by GGUW, particularly in our kidsLINK program. They teach kids financial literacy and connect with them through other activities. Beyond this, the bank offers a unique window space on Main Street, radio ads, and other opportunities for joint marketing with nonprofits. This hands-on involvement ensures a direct and positive impact on our community, fostering a stronger bond between the bank and those they aspire to serve.

For companies aspiring to fulfill their corporate social responsibility goals, First Security Bank provides a shining example. Their incorporation of giving back into corporate culture creates a workplace environment benefiting both the community and employee morale. This dedication showcases the ripple effect that corporate partnerships can have on creating positive change. Together with GGUW, they actively contribute to building a stronger, more connected community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Join the movement and find inspiration for your corporate social responsibility goals through the outstanding example set by First Security Bank. Together, we can make a lasting impact, proving that giving back can be easy, enjoyable, and beneficial for everyone involved.
